Add some twinkling white fairy lights and cover them with lace and spider webs. You could add some lights in the garden shining upwards onto the front of the house for that really eerie look.

You can get some scary statues that you can place around the house in shadowy corners and lights for the garden and walkway that can throw spooky shadows over the garden and house. Don’t use too many lights. You want an eerie, spooky atmosphere.

For the perfect effect, if you’re having a party, you could hire a fog machine for the perfect ghostly effect on the night. Or just use the fog machine when you expect children to come around trick or treating.
